ARKLights ("the App") is developed by CleverCraft. This policy describes how the App handles your data. The short version: we do not collect, store, or share any personal information.

1. Data We Collect

None. The App does not collect personal data, usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry of any kind. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no registration.

2. Bluetooth & Local Device Communication

The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate directly with ARKLights hardware. All communication occurs locally between your phone and your device. No data from these connections is transmitted to any server.

The App may store the following on your device only:

• The name and identifier of previously connected ARKLights devices, so you can reconnect quickly.
• Your lighting preferences and configuration, so settings persist between sessions.

This data never leaves your device.

3. Network Access

The App connects to the internet solely to check for firmware updates. It fetches a small manifest file hosted on GitHub to determine whether a newer firmware version is available for your ARKLights device. No personal or device-identifying information is sent in these requests.

When performing an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update, the App downloads the firmware binary from GitHub and transfers it to your device over a local Wi-Fi connection. No data is uploaded to any external server.

4. Wi-Fi & Local Network

During firmware updates, the App connects to a local Wi-Fi access point broadcast by your ARKLights device. This is a direct device-to-phone connection and does not involve any external network or cloud service.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service accessed is GitHub (to check for firmware updates), which is governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

7. Data Security

Since the App does not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal data security risk. All device communication occurs over local Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi connections.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
