ArkLights ("the App") is developed by CleverCraft. This policy describes how the App accesses, uses, stores, and shares data. The short version: the App has no accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Core lighting control stays local between your phone and your ArkLights hardware.
The App does not automatically collect personal data, usage analytics, crash reports, telemetry, advertising identifiers, or tracking data. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no registration.
If you choose to email CleverCraft for support, bug reports, feature requests, or diagnostics, we receive the contents of that email and your reply email address. Diagnostics can include app status, connection state, device name or identifier, firmware version, local configuration status, and error messages. We use this information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve ArkLights.
The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate directly with ArkLights hardware. All communication occurs locally between your phone and your device. No data from these connections is transmitted to CleverCraft servers.
The App may store the following on your device only:
This data never leaves your device.
The App connects to the internet solely to check for firmware updates. It fetches a small manifest file hosted on GitHub to determine whether a newer firmware version is available for your ArkLights device. No personal or device-identifying information is intentionally sent in these requests.
When performing an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update, the App downloads the firmware binary from GitHub and transfers it to your device over a local Wi-Fi connection. No data is uploaded to any external server.
During firmware updates, the App connects to a local Wi-Fi access point broadcast by your ArkLights device. This is a direct device-to-phone connection and does not involve any external network or cloud service.
The App includes an optional Music Mode that uses your device's microphone to analyze ambient audio in real time for music-reactive lighting effects.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service accessed by the App is GitHub for firmware update checks and downloads, which is governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement.
If you choose to email support, your message is handled by your email app and email provider before it reaches CleverCraft.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Core device communication occurs over local Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi connections. Firmware update checks and downloads use GitHub over HTTPS. Support emails are transmitted by your email provider. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Local app data, such as saved preferences and known devices, can be deleted by uninstalling the App or clearing app data in your device settings.
Support emails and diagnostics you choose to send are retained only as long as needed to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, maintain business records, or comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion by emailing support@clevercraft.pro.
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
